What are the technical requirements for Xcelrate UDI's barcode scanning technology?

Xcelrate UDI’s solution includes a cloud-based application and a medical grade barcode reader for on-premise access use. This can be attached directly to the healthcare providers workstation. Technical requirements for the workstations and internet capabilities can be provided.

Our application works on both Windows and iOS devices, and requires Windows 10 or newer. FDA websites must be whitelisted.

How does Xcelrate UDI manage healthcare data?

Data captured by our platform is automatically entered into the healthcare facility’s health record. Information previously housed in multiple databases is consolidated into one central location.

To ensure our dataset is as complete as possible, missing or inaccurate data is reported directly to the manufacturer in real-time.

Does your barcode scanning application capture patient health information?

No, we do not capture patient information. If a client requires support, we are able to provide unique identifiers that match data and can assist with recall notices.

Do you provide multiple language support?

The application is currently available in English only, however additional language options are on the roadmap.

How long does it take to implement the barcode scanning solution?

Our application can be implemented in as little as 7 business days, if there are no customizations. 

Do you provide training for healthcare facility users?

We provide virtual and in-person training, and can facilitate train-the-trainer sessions if the client requires. Training includes:

• An overview of the UDI System

• How to install, configure and use our barcode scanning solution

• Troubleshooting support (faulty barcodes, scanning issues, etc.)

• Dashboards and data analysis 

Do you provide support for localized regulation for international clients?

Absolutely. Our solution taps directly into local medical recall databases to ensure information is timely and relevant to users. Our solution complies with international barcode regulations.

Do you offer an inventory management system?

Our application includes an inventory module for healthcare facilities who do not have a supply management system. It also integrates with existing inventory software to track inventory use and waste.  

How much does Xcelrate UDI’s barcode scanning application cost?

Customers pay by annual subscription, with tiered pricing based on the client’s facility. Custom packages are available. There is no limit to the number of users.
